End of Summer Wedding Thoughts

Hi Everyone!  We’re in to September already, and I’ve been summarizing our summer weddings in my mind: thinking about all of the beautiful couples we serenaded down the aisle, what music was most popular, thoughts on venues, vendors.  So here’s my summer wrapup.

Most Popular Summer Wedding Venue: Brooklyn Botanic Gardens – you can’t get more beautiful than here – the palm house has an old world charm about it – the bubbling ponds full of water lilies makes a stunning back drop for a cocktail hour and who wouldn’t want to get married in front of a grand old willow tree? (My favorite by the way!) You Can see a video of one of our BBG weddings here!

Most Popular Summer Wedding Music:

1. Bridal Party Processional: “Spring” by Antonio Vivaldi

2. Bride’s Entrance: “Canon in D”

3. Recessional: “All You Need is Love” – the Beatles
Most lovely Ceremonial Idea: The Wedding Ring Blessing: The couples rings are passed through the crowd, accompanied by us of course :), and one the return to the couple the ring exchange occurs.  It’s so lovely for a small wedding!

Here’s a photo of a wedding we played where they did that – Amy & Mark’s – at the Conservatory Gardens in Central Park (what a dreamy place to get married)

Our Favorite Wedding Planner: Cheryl J. Weddings and Events. Cheryl is fantastic!  Extremely professional, organized and like one of your good friends wrapped up in one! You’ll want to include her in your planning, she makes the whole wedding process easy!

Our Favorite Officiant: The Rev. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones We met Reverend Mark at Emily & John’s wedding (photos below).  He has a wonderful way to officiating over the ceremony; a little bit of wit and  a little bit of wisdom -we loved it! You must go see him!
