Yesterday we spent one of the most beautiful days of the year playing the wedding ceremony of D.D. & Jackie. It was at the wonderful Jefferson Market Gardens in the West Village.
I met with D.D. and Jackie a few weeks ago to discuss music for their ceremony. Since 2012 we have cut back on the amount of weddings we are doing because of our busy schedules, which makes what we do even more specialized and intimate. The thing that struck me about D.D. and Jackie was their energy and love – it was over pouring and I couldn’t wait for yesterday to get here.
Everything from the color coordinated black and white stripped chairs we sat on, to the huge white balloons, heritage NYC Taxi cab and mandolin-led procession to the reception was perfect and straight out of a fairy tale.
